Supporting the Cornwall Run4Fun
Community 1st Cornwall and national sports development charity StreetGames hosted a free to enter family fun run in Cornwall.
The event was a massive success, with over 150 people taking part to run, jog or walk around the park and even the weather managed to stay dry, ensuring everybody finished the course in high spirits.
As the Run4Fun is all about participation rather than winning, everyone who completed the course received a medal.
The event was organised by Community 1st Cornwall, national sports development charity StreetGames, Cornwall Community Leisure, Cornwall Council and the Health Improvement Team from Cornwall Community Health Services, to encourage participation in sport and raise awareness of healthy living.
Rod Hulme, General Manager of Community 1st Cornwall, said: “Community 1st is dedicated to delivering modern health and community facilities in the Cornwall area which really meet the needs of the communities in which they are located. Working together with StreetGames and the Cornwall sport and health teams on the Run4Fun we were proud to deliver an event to bring communities together to have fun and get fit.”
