2 Rooms in the Clays Surgery to be Adjusted for Consultations

Community 1st Cornwall is starting work on two of the existing rooms in the Clays Surgery in Roche which need to be converted into consultation or examination rooms. The works will involve adding sinks, height measures and many more items to both rooms.

Community 1st Cornwall’s estate team is currently in the process of finalising budget costs for the PCT through local contractors and work will soon begin.  With the change in functionality of the rooms, the PCT expects to see a rise in the utilisation of the space within the Surgery.

The Clays Practice was developed by Community 1st Cornwall in partnership with NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly and opened its doors to patients in December 2005, following the practice’s relocation from premises that were outdated and inadequate for modern healthcare delivery.

This new facility provides purpose built accommodation for GPs, the Primary Care Trust and social services and the development also has an on-site dispensary.
