Community 1st Cornwall undertakes £3m of minor capital works during 2009

Community 1st Cornwall (C1C) has been supporting NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly on a significant programme of minor capital works during 2009.

C1C firmly believes that the LIFT partnership is not just about new buildings, it is about supporting our NHS partner to ensure their estate is fit for purpose and able to accommodate high quality care services for its local communities.

The LIFT model can and should be flexible to support the changing estate requirements and financial challenges of our Public Sector partners.

This financial year has seen over 30 individual minor capital projects undertaken at a combined value in excess of £3 million. Projects range from re-wiring and re-roofing to more extensive extensions and refurbishments, providing much needed improvements to accommodation for NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly staff and patients.

LIFT is well placed to support and manage our PCT partner’s whole estate needs, an area which continues to gain support from central Government.

These works demonstrate how C1C is putting this belief into practice on a day-to-day basis.
